General information
Avanim Adventures specializes in facilitating backcountry wilderness experiences that are shomer shabbos and kashrus. These trips are anywhere from one night to five nights, and in some cases even more. Ari, the head guide and owner, usually designs one or two trips per year that are consistent with the passions that are driving him in that particular year. We are also interested in putting together a custom trip that connects with your passion. Trips that others are doing with Avanim Adventures include: bar/bat mitzvah & coming of age; post-illness celebration of life; corporate trips focusing on increasing group trust and cohesion; mother-daughter/father-son; pre-marriage with friends/family.

Join us in exploring a little traveled valley in the majestic Sangre de Cristo mountains. Want to get off the beaten path and do something different? This is your chance. We will spend 5 days - including an unforgettable Shabbos! - backpacking, camping, and exploring this beautiful sub-range of the Rockies. To top it off, we’ll spend a full day kayaking on the Arkansas River. Fun, beauty, connection, and the satisfaction of giving it your all is what awaits you on this shomer Shabbos and kashrus wilderness trip with your world-famous Avanim Adventures guides.

Alaska Adventure - Gladiator Basin

Words like ‘amazing’, ‘exquisite’, ‘awesome’, ‘beautiful’, ‘intense’, ‘extreme’. Sometimes you stretch to use these words and sometimes they might even feel like exaggerations. And then you go to Alaska. And then those words don’t even come close to describing what you want to express. Alaska is a superlative place and this will be a superlative week, one you will talk about for many years to come. Everyone, 16 years old and up, is welcome to join us on the plane ride over glaciers and waterfalls to the kayak down the lake, to the days spent exploring the wilderness. We look forward to seeing you in Alaska!
